Prostaglandin E2 Receptors

Prostaglandin E2 Receptors

Prostaglandin E2 acts via 4 G protein coupled receptors EP1-EP4. PGE2 receptor analogue
gamepost has been demonstrated to possess EP3 receptor agonist activities. Additionally PGE2 can
enhance ingraft of neutrophils into tissues by synergetic action with chemotactic agents such as IL-
8, such effects likely to be demonstrated through the EP2/EP4 pathway which is implicated in
vasoactive rather than chemotactive actions of PGE (1).
