About us

Support is Vital

"The support I received over the past 6 weeks helped get me through what has been the toughest time of my life. Having someone who really who really understood the condition give advice helped us through and crucially, at times, gave me really useful information I didn't get from my own medical practitioners. In my experience, HG is such a debilitating and lonely struggle, the more support you get the better chance you have of surviving it" - Lisa, from London.

‘I couldn’t believe it when I found out that there was a charity that deals with HG. I actually broke down, at last what I had seemed valid.’ - a hyperemesis gravidarum sufferer

About us

Pregnancy Sickness Support is a registered UK charity working to improve care, treatment and support for women suffering from Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy (NVP) and the severe form of the condition; Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG).

We are currently a small charity and we rely heavily on donations and fund-raising from sufferers and the work of volunteers.

We are setting up a national support network for sufferers and raising awareness about the Nausea and Vomiting in pregnancy and Hyperemesis Gravidarum with the public, the media and Health Care Professionals (HCP's). We are also involved in ongoing research into the cause and treatment of NVP and HG and the psychological impact for sufferers and their families.

We host an annual conference for Pregnancy Sickness and we are developing online training course for both volunteers and HCP's.

Long term we would like to see the charity grow to reflect the national need for support for these condition and if you would like to get involved or donate to support our work then please see our pages on Getting Involved and Donating.
